HOLISTIC APPROACHES AS NON-FORMAL WAY OF LEARNING

Introduction
This course has been created for teachers and pedagogical staff who want to learn more about what Holistic approaches are, how it can bring benefit to students and teachers, and how it can be integrated into their schools.

Target audience
This course is aimed at teachers and school staff from primary, secondary, vocational, adult, special needs education, kindergarten and all those who want to create more engaging units for their learners.

Methodology
Methodology is based on theoretical input, presentations of examples of good practice as well as demonstrations and experience comparisons and in the most part practical learning by doing approach.

Objectives ­

• Understanding of how Holistic approaches can benefit the entire school community.
• Introducing the concept and practices of Holistic approaches into classrooms. ­
• Being conscious for well-being and learning, both at the individual and at the group level. 
• Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills. ­
• Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful implementation  
• Promoting intercultural awareness.

Draft daily programme

Day	Holistic Approaches as a Non-formal Way of Learning
1. Sunday	Introduction of the programme Warm-ups and ice-breakers Introduction of participants, countries, schools International cultural evening
2. Monday	Teambuilding activities Introduction to holistic approaches (workshops)  Presentation of the participants’ experiences, school settings
3. Tuesday	Drama and theatre games Getting to know the beauties of Ljubljana, cultural evening
4. Wednesday	Mindfulness meditation and practice Outdoor education workshops
5. Thursday	Teambuilding and networking, non-formal activities with a cultural excursion and Mindfulness practice outdoors
6. Friday	Creative Thinking (gamification – designing unforgettable experiences and thinking out of the box e.g. Escape room) Online tools for collaboration in educational outdoor education, eTwinning, School Education Gateway
7. Saturday	Presentation of outcomes Further international collaboration opportunities Evaluation and certification Closing session

Course fee: 490 EUR per participant + 110 EUR for social programme
* 22% VAT is included.

Language of the course
The course is held in English.

Certificate
Each participant will get a course attendance certificate and the Europass Mobility Document.

About us (Team / Organizer)
Eduvision is an organization which main purpose is to train and educate teachers and educators in school settings (kindergartens, primary schools, secondar schools, high schools, universities). We connect experts, teachers and practitioners to share their knowledge, experience, innovations, good practices and new approaches to teaching at different international conferences and seminars.
In the past decade several international scientific and professional conferences were organized:
   - EDUvision (Modern approaches to teaching the coming generation)
   - Mindfulness (Be Mindful, Teach Mindfully, Teach Mindfulness)
   - Infokomteh (Implementation and use of ICT in the classroom)
A great emphasis is put on training teachers and educators by the help od professional training courses on recognizing and learning different strategies of teaching the learning and behaviorally challenging children, special needs students such as autism, ADHD,... and last but not least authority problems.
